Here's exactly how to wear it, the way that turns your nude into YOUR nude

Step 1

Prep

Wipe lips clean with a damp cloth - no skincare, no leftover makeup. We want the stain to grip, and the colour to land true.

Step 2

swirl and scrape

Swirl the brush in the bottle, then scrape most of it off against the rim. Barely anything should be left - and that's the point. The perfect 90s nude lives in restraint.

Step 3

apply a thin layer

When the brush touches your lips, it should match your natural tone. If it's darker, you've gone too heavy. Build up after, not first.

Step 4

tap in or blend in

Use your finger or a brush to tap the product in for that melted-in effect. Blend back and forth for a diffused finish. Your lips, your way.

The formula is pH-reactive, so it can shift tone when it mixes with skincare or makeup residue on your lips - especially BHA/AHA toners, vitamin C, or silicone-based products. It's not a fault, just chemistry.

How do I stop it turning the wrong shade?

Two fixes:

  1. Wipe lips with a damp cloth before applying to remove any product residue.
  2. Apply a thin layer. Too much at once pulls out underlying pigments you don't want.

You're more than welcome to apply makeup around your lips afterwards.

The shades will look much darker if you apply too much product at once. Before applying, scrape the brush back against the rim of the bottle to remove excess - you want as little product on the brush as possible. If you think you have taken off enough, take off some more.

The colour is fully buildable, so start light and add more depth only where you want it.

It's one size fits all! It totally depends on what tone you prefer your lips to lean.
